Southampton has no chance at a top-four finish in this year’s English Premier League, but they can place in the top six and earn a spot in next season’s Europa League. Meanwhile, Manchester City is currently in a top-four spot and hoping to remain there to clinch a berth in the European Champions League. The two sides will clash at St. Mary’s Stadium on the south coast in Southampton this Sunday, May 1st with points being at a premium. Man City is coming off of a 0-0 home draw against Real Madrid in a Champions League semifinal match on Tuesday while Southampton beat Aston Villa 4-2 on the road last weekend.
